Jim Cramer's Stop Trading Mar. 29

Buy Reliance Steel (RS) off the big deal between U.S. Steel (X) and Lone Star (LSS) deal, Jim Cramer said Thursday on CNBC's "Stop Trading!" segment.
Cramer said Reliance, up 3% Thursday afternoon, is "the cheapest that's left" among the consolidation-crazed steel names. Of the U.S. Steel plan to acquire Lone Star, Cramer said, "What a deal."
Cramer likes GlobalSantaFe (GSF), saying a "monster seller" in the stock is giving investors an opportunity to "take advantage of the weakness" that has the stock down fractionally Thursday. Cramer believes Norway's SeaDrill could end up buying or merging with GlobalSantaFe.
Cramer likes Tata Motors (TTM), the Indian auto play, and is taking a look at Frozen Food Express (FFEX) and RadioShack (RSH) on Bob Olstein's advice।

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Lightning Round Mar. 28

JPMorgan Chase (NYSE: JPM - News): 'I think that the company itself is really good. At $47, nice 9% pullback. Probably worth buying, but let me tell you something... It doesn't yield 3%... 'Bank of America (NYSE: BAC - News): 'I've got BAC that yields 4% ... This stock should pull back .... If it goes below $20, then you do a little buying. 'Jones Soda (NasdaqCM: JSDA): 'But JSDA, other than HANS, is the fastest grower out there. I'm doing a lot of work on JSDA... Do not lose sight of that!'Hansen Natural (NasdaqCM: HANS)Accuray (NasdaqGM: ARAY): 'I think you're fine.'Harsco (NYSE: HSC - News): 'I think that this is a quintessential great industrial management company ... that's the kind of stock to buy right here. HSC, only about $1 off its high, but notice how it's held up. It is not that linked to housing. It is mostly industrial equipment.'Cummins (NYSE: CMI - News)Parker-Hannifin (NYSE: PH - News)Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT - News)Terex (NYSE: TEX - News)Lamson & Sessions (NYSE: LMS - News): 'Remember, I felt that this company is a natural to be acquired. They are in talks ... I think this company is worth substantially higher than where it's selling ... I am not worried about the earnings, and the P/E is very low. In other words, continue to buy LMS... 'VeriFone (NYSE: PAY - News): ' I think that PAY - which is linked to retail - is a fabulous stock. I am surprised it's come down this much from its high. I actually want to load up the truck with PAY right here. That's too cheap!'Charter Communications (NasdaqGM: CHTR): 'Do not lose heart! This is a play off of what I regard as being the 'virtuous circle' of being able to refinance, now that rates have come down... CHTR is good ... I want you to buy it.'Comcast (NasdaqGS: CMCSA)Time Warner (NYSE: TWX - News)Allegheny Technologies (NYSE: ATI - News): 'Don't forget that you need ATI steel when you build an ethanol plant, and that stock's off nicely from its high. Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Mar. 28

Breaking Up is Good to Do: Heinz (NYSE: HNZ - News), Cadbury Schweppes (NYSE: CSG - News), American Standard (NYSE: ASD - News), Clorox (NYSE: CLX - News), ConAgra Foods (NYSE: CAG - News)
Cramer remarks "catalyst shareholder" Nelson Peltz has given valuable advice to HNZ and CSG and on March 15, CSG announced it is breaking up. He comments such a move has been good for other companies such as ASD, and discusses two other companies which could make "a cool 25% on your investment" with a split. He notes private equity firms are looking even at "tired old brands," and thinks Clorox's brand combination "makes no sense whatsoever." In addition, Cramer comments that keeping Conagra's problematic mixture of brands is like making a sandwich out of too many ingredients, and since both companies are in "the sweet spot of value creation" they could successfully spin-off their brands or sell them to private equity firms. Even if CLX and CAG don't split up, they have little downside, are cheap and good stocks to own in an ecomonic downturn, said Cramer.
Benefit of the Doubt: Jim Sinegal, the CEO of Costco (NasdaqGS: COST) and Lawrence Montgomery, CEO of Kohl's (NYSE: KSS - News)Continuing his series on CEOs who deserve the benefit of the doubt, Cramer thinks investors should have faith in Costco's Jim Sinegal, in spite of the stock's decline following the implementation of a stricter return policy. He says although COST may not be finished going down, he would trust Sinegal. Cramer added it is "ludicrous" that Wall Street does not trust Lawrence Montgomery of KSS, since the stores offer quality merchandise at fair prices. While he does not strongly recommend the stock at $75.75, Cramer says to buy KSS once it dips.
Mad Mail: Sirius Satellite Radio (NasdaqGS: SIRI), XM Satellite Radio (NasdaqGS: XMSR), Take-Two Interactive (NasdaqGS: TTWO)
Cramer predicts SIRI will rise to $5 if it merges with XMSR, but if not, it would drop from $3।26 to $1 or $2 and XMSR would be "wiped out." TTWO's numbers are nonexistent, said Cramer who liked the stock but would not buy it, because without a deal, it will go lower.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Mar. 27

Altria (NYSE: MO - News), Level 3 Communications (NasdaqGS: LVLT), NYSE Group (NYSE: NYX - News)
Cramer revisited his top 3 stock picks for 2007, noting MO is down and NYX hasn't moved yet, but reiterating his bullishness on all three. He explained NYX is crushed because of arbitrage pressure, since investors have been selling NYX and buying Euronext to make an "itsy bitsy" profit from the merger. But with next week's closing on the deal, NYX will be "kicking and screaming" and those "bum analysts" will have to raise estimates. Cramer would buy NYX before the analysts capitulate and ahead of a short squeeze. "At $93 and change, I see NYX jumping back to at least its 52-week high of [more than] $110 a share," he said.
Benefit of the Doubt: Myron Ullman of J. C Penney (NYSE: JCP - News), Terry Lungren of Federated Department Stores (NYSE: FD - News)
Continuing his series on CEOs who deserve the benefit of the doubt, Cramer said those who believed Myron Ullman when he said JCP would recover from its troubled quarter made some money, as the stock was downgraded to $77, but has recently bounced to $81. He believes JCP is "heading to new highs" and suggests staying with the stock the next time it gives a lackluster number. When Terry Lungren said FD's big miss last year would not happen again, Cramer was "wracked with indecision" and eventually abandoned the stock. However, those who were loyal to Lungren profited.
Harris Stratex Networks (NasdaqGM: HSTX) and Harris (NYSE: HRS - News)
Cramer did some homework when asked about HSTX and he said the parent company, HRS is a better stock, suggested selling the child and buying the parent, which has a mix of very strong businesses, including government communications systems, RF communications and broadcast. Recently HRS was awarded a $600 million contract from the U.S. Census Bureau for field data collection automation and is the "best play on Earth for the penetration of HDTV," Cramer said. CEO Interview: Vincent Sollitto, the CEO of Syntax-Brillian (NasdaqGM: BRLC)
Vincent Sollitto said business is "booming" with the company's Target sales and marketing campaign, and product reviews which are creating demand। When Cramer asked if BRLC is being hurt by housing, Sollitto responded that since people are holding onto their homes, they are more likely to remodel and there has been "tremendous" activity in the home theatre market; "I think it is a great time for us." Cramer is bullish but declined to give two thumbs up because BRLC is very speculative.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Mar. 23

Game Plan for Next Week: Brocade (NasdaqGS: BRCD), Apple (NasdaqGS: AAPL), Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ - News), Phillips-Van Heusen (NYSE: PVH - News), CarMax (NYSE: KMX - News), Accenture (NYSE: ACN - News) and DSW (NYSE: DSW - News), Movado (NYSE: MOV - News)
Cramer suggested buying Brocade ahead of an analysts meeting on Thursday during which it is expected to raise its estimates. Although Cramer does not usually recommend Cisco's competitors, the stock should rise after the meeting and he predicts Cisco might buy BRCD. While he likes BRCD as a trade, the only tech stocks good for investments are AAPL and HPQ. Cramer expects strong earnings reports next week from PVH, KMX, ACN and DSW. Cramer's top stock next week is MOV which he thinks will deliver a "substantial upside surprise."
Good and Bad IPOs Photowatt, eTelecare with stock First Solar (NasdaqGM: FSLR)
Cramer discussed two companies which are going public next week, one to pay attention to and one to avoid. Concerning Photowatt, which will trade under PHWT, Cramer says "We have had way too many solar stocks come public and there's not enough demand, even with the hype that surrounds solar... Avoid it at any price." He suggested FSLR for those who want a solar stock. However, Cramer thinks eTelecare, an outsourcing company based in the Philippines "the next great, outsourcing center," might be a good stock. It is expected to trade under the symbol ETEL from between $12.50 and $14.50. Cramer would not pay more than $15 and urged, "please buy it carefully."
Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE: FCX - News)
FCX is now a "happy oligopoly" after having merged with Phelps Dodge and has cornered copper, comments Cramer, who says its a "screaming" buy. FCX is a "terrific hedge against inflation" and is in "tremendous demand." Its secondary offering was priced at 41 million shares and FCX rose $1. Cramer notes that FCX is a well-liked stock which will continue to go up. While analyst estimates are not high, Cramer predicts FCX will provide "blow away" numbers. He adds that while demand for copper has declined in the U.S., it is a sought-after mineral in China. Cramer sees this $62 stock going to $100.
Mad Mail: Altria (NYSE: MO - News), Kraft Foods (NYSE: KFT - News), Dean Foods (NYSE: DF - News)
When asked how MO holders can lessen the risk of a downside from KFT after it is spun off, Cramer suggests buying MO's "when-issued shares।" However, he added, "Kraft will be added to the S&P 500 so there's a very good chance it won't go down at all." Cramer would stay with DF which should go up again.

Verizon (NYSE: VZ - News), Vonage (NYSE: VG - News): Cramer wanted to talk about "what a bunch of hucksters" the executives at Vonage are concerning the injunction in a patent case with Verizon which brought the stock down 23%. "Everyone thought that VG should be sitting down with Verizon and talking," commented Cramer who thought it was an outrage the VG did just the opposite; "Swap out of VG into anything!"
Clorox (NYSE: CLX - News), ConAgra Foods (NYSE: CAG - News), Union Pacific (NYSE: UNP - News), Norfolk Southern (NYSE: NSC - News), CSX Corp (NYSE: CSX - News): Noting that CLX and CAG have new management, Cramer added that they could be broken up as well as rail companies such as UNP "the largest land owner in America," NSC and CSX which also have hidden assets। He adds that all of the rails are pro-shareholder.

Jim Cramer's Wall Street Confidential Mar. 23

Pepsico (NYSE: PEP - News), Coke (NYSE: KO - News)
Cramer says that though he has criticized Pepsico's Frito Lay for having unhealthy snacks, after visiting its plant in Aberdeen, Maryland, he sees that healthy food is not just an "ancillary business" but their main focus। "They have taken all the fats out of almost every single one of the Frito-Lay lines by themselves," he said adding their new vegetable snacks taste great. Their competitors are lagging behind as PEP is grabbing 60% market share, and Cramer predicts they will reach 70%. One factory runs six and a half days a week because "they cannot keep up with demand" for healthy snack foods. While the carbonated beverage business is bad in the U.S., it is growing overseas by single digits for Coke and by double digits for Pepsi. The cause of the problem is energy, but Pepsi was prepared; "They are using 30% less energy than they did 10 years ago ... and they are still taking it down," Cramer said. "I like this story very much."

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Review Mar. 22

A Good Call: AT&T (NYSE: T - News), Verizon (NYSE: VZ - News), Sprint Nextel (NYSE: S - News) and Qwest (NYSE: Q - News)
Four companies are poised to become the candidate for the government's largest ever telecommunications contract, Networks Universal, and Cramer believes this contract is significant if it will "move the needle." He comments T and VZ are already so large that even though the deal will mean $68 billion over the next 10 years, it shouldn't move these stocks more than 50 or 60 cents upward. Sprint would be a likely candidate, but although the company reported a good quarter, things look less rosy for Motorola, Sprint's supplier. This leaves Qwest; "I think you'll see a gigantic move, as the permanence of Q is no longer in doubt," said Cramer. Even if Q doesn't get the deal, it is in the "fast-growing part of the country" and may be a takeover target. Cramer would do a mon' back!
Water the Odds? Pico Holdings (NasdaqGM: PICO)
A student at the University of Texas gave Cramer the idea to look at water stocks, and while he is not hitting the bull button yet, Cramer suggests doing homework on PICO, a small speculative play. While Cramer is not thrilled with the water utility market, he likes the fact that PICO sells its water at a premium and has a 35 mile water pipeline under construction. While only one analyst is covering the stock, but Cramer says, "Water is becoming too hot for it to stay under the radar." He urges investors who have done their homework to use limit orders when buying PICO.
Sell Block: Blockbuster (NYSE: BBI - News), GSI Commerce Inc. (NasdaqGS: GSIC), Motorola (NYSE: MOT - News), Nokia (NYSE: NOK - News)
Although Cramer has been bullish on BBI, he was essentially bullish on CEO John Antioco, and would sell the stock on the announcement of Antioco's departure, because "he was the one who gave us our double in the stock" and "exceeded handily" his promises. Although some are critical of Antioco's long-term performance, Cramer pointed out that he saved BBI from Netflix, and he would take gains in the stock now. Cramer notes GSIC is up 28% since his December recommendation, and he would do a schnitzel (sell the gains) on its large increase. Cramer then discussed the "unbelievable Barnum and Bailey stuff" that occurred when some "joker" of an analyst suggested buying Nokia after Motorola cut guidance. "What's bad for MOT is going to be bad for NOK," said Cramer, because MOK's problem is an indication of an industry-wide problem.

CEO Interview: Angelo Mozilo, Countrywide Financial (NYSE: CFC - News)
When Cramer asked why CFC stopped giving out "bad loans" at a time everyone was doing it, Angelo Mozilo said he was talking about problems with loan quality and margins at New Century and Ameriquest a year ago. The companies had a bad business model, Mozilo continued, stating there will be consequences for minority and first-time prospective homeowners because of disappearing liquidity, and this trend will impact the housing market. However, he added the subprime mess has cleared the field of many of CFC's competitors, and the company will be in a dominant position at the end of this painful subprime ride. Cramer commented its time to pick up survivors like CFC ahead of a Fed rate cut in May. Cramer aimed to reassure viewers about Muzilo's stock-selling; "He's an older fellow... It's time for him to do a little insider selling... and I would start doing some outsider buying!"

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Review

The Nightmare is Over: Boeing (NYSE: BA - News), United Technologies (NYSE: UTX - News), Deere (NYSE: DE - News), Ingersoll-Rand (NYSE: IR - News), Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE: FCX - News), Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT - News)
"The crisis - our short national nightmare - is over!" announced Cramer, reminding viewers of his prediction that the Fed would blink and cut rates. He felt that the removal of the line about "additional firming" from the Fed statement was responsible for the rally in the market on Wednesday and says the final third of the market, comprised of minerals, is hitting bottom. Cramer would aggressively buy cyclical stocks right now and named BA, UTX, DE, IR, FCX and CAT.
Gentlemen Prefer Haynes International (NasdaqGM: HAYN)
Cramer notes Haynes brought a secondary offering to the market, will be able to clean up its balance sheet and start moving. HAYN is a high-performance metals company, and is the cheapest member of the "red hot sizzling club" which includes Titanium Metals and RTI. Haynes is a fresh stock for analysts who are starved for a new name, said Cramer; "The demand for its product is only exceeded by the demand for its stock!"
Sugar-Free Danish: Novo Nordisk (NYSE: NVO - News)
Defensive stocks were performing "fabulously" on Wednesday, and Cramer would keep an eye on drug stocks, but not the American names. Cramer likes Danish company NVO which has 50% of the international market in diabetes treatment. NVO has "some of the best" insulin products, is selling human insulin inexpensively, has patent-protection and is not hampered by competition from generics. Cramer predicts the stock will move from $88.71 to $100.
Shopping for Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT - News) with stocks Sears Holdings (NasdaqGS: SHLD), JC Penney (NYSE: JCP - News), Kohl's (NYSE: KSS - News)
On Tuesday, a University of Texas student made the bullish case for Wal-Mart because of new store design in Plano Texas. Cramer gave his response on Wednesday, and said he is bothered by the fact that Wal-Mart is a stock analysts claim to hate, yet 16 out of 28 still like it. Cramer doesn't see the company remodeling stores aggressively, and while he admits WMT is cheap on a price-to-earnings basis, he can't accept the fact that WMT is so well liked and its stores are boring places to shop. However, he promoted WMT from a triple sell to a "don't buy, don't buy!" and recommended other retail stocks: SHLD, JCP, KSS.

Mad Mail: Google (NasdaqGS: GOOG), Nastech Pharmaceuticals (NasdaqGM: NSTK), Wendy's (NYSE: WEN - News), Tim Horton's (NYSE: THI - News), McDonald's (NYSE: MCD - News), Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG - News)
Concerning Google, Cramer thinks its YouTube acquisition, far from being a sign of overexpansion, was “brilliant" and if it weren't for the Viacom lawsuit, the stock would be sitting at $470 or $480. Cramer would stay with NSTK at $10, noting it is the only company working on autism. When a caller asked about WEN and THI, Cramer suggested selling both and picking up MCD and especially CMG.

Chinese Stocks Soar to a Record High

Chinese stocks rose to a record Wednesday, marking a complete recovery from their late February swoon that sparked a selloff in global financial markets.
Gains in real estate stocks lifted the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index 0.8 percent to 3,057.38, breaking the previous closing high set Feb. 26, a day before it plunged nearly 9 percent. That drop sparked declines in New York, London and through much of Asia for about a week.
The key index on China's smaller market in Shenzhen rose 1.4 percent to 805.68, also a record high.
Analysts said they expect further gains in the near-term for the market, although "gains won't come as easily as before," said Tang Xiaosheng, an analyst at Guosen Securities.
"The blue chips' valuations are no longer attractive after recent rises and many investors would wait for their first-quarter earnings for trading clues," Tang said.
Listed firms generally publish their quarterly results in April and May.
Real estate companies rallied amid speculation that the central bank will raise yuan rates at a quicker pace after Gov. Zhou Xiaochuan said China doesn't intend to build more foreign exchange reserves.
In an interview with the EmergingMarkets newspaper distributed Tuesday at a meeting in Guatemala City, Zhou was quoted as saying China's monetary authority doesn't "intend to go further and accumulate (foreign) reserves." He added that "many people say that foreign exchange reserves in China are (already) large enough."
It wasn't clear how China might limit its currency reserves, which total more than $1 trillion, and are rising around $20 billion a month.
Zhou was in Guatemala's capital for the annual Inter-American Development Bank meeting.
Property companies rank stand to benefit from a stronger yuan because their land and property holdings are denominated in local currency, analysts said.
Shanghai Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone Development, a flagship developer in the city, jumped 10 percent to 18.44 yuan. Beijing Huaye Realestate rose 9.7 percent to 12.05 yuan and Shanghai Jinqiao Export Processing Zone Development advanced 5.5 percent to 14.30 yuan.
Banks also closed higher, helping lift the market, as their yuan-denominated assets could also get a boost from yuan rises.
Shanghai Pudong Development Bank finished up 4.6 percent at 26.17 yuan and China Minsheng Banking rose 1 percent to 11.89 yuan. UBS upgraded Minsheng to "buy" from "neutral" and raised the price target for the lender to 14.40 yuan from 11.40 yuan.
