Jim Cramer's Mad Money Lightning Round May 19th

Kroger (KR): "I'm concerned about the supermarkets. The margins are getting squeezed. I cannot endorse that group."
First Solar (FSLR): "First solar remains the least expensive way to play solar. I want you to stay in it, but I want you to buy more at a lower price."
Imax Corp (IMAX): "I've been wrong on this one. It's been moving, but I still won't recommend this one. "
Sina Corp (SINA): "I have been staying away from China. It's too explosive and too crazy, I don't want to lose people money."
Fluor (FLR): "This stock exploded last week and then went up again today. Ring the register and get into Foster Wheeler (FWLT). This one's just too expensive."
International Paper (IP): "No, no, I like Weyerhaeuser (WY) more, and I like Temple-Inland (TIN) more. IP is just not well run."
Emcore (EMKR): "Fiber-optic play, over-crowded segment. I don't want to go with that one. I like ADC Telecommunications (ADCT) and that's it."
Reliant Energy (RRI): "I don't know. It's not my favorite. I'd steer you toward Dynegy (DYN) instead."

Jim Cramer's Stop Trading May 14th

Buy Caterpillar (CAT), Jim Cramer said on CNBC's "Stop Trading!" segment Wednesday.
On news of an earthquake that has cost a great deal of damage and as many as 15,000 lives, Cramer spoke of the "rebuild in China," which he said was an equivalent of Hurricane Katrina in terms of infrastructure buildout. He pointed viewers to Caterpillar and Terex (TRX) as plays on the news. He also recommended Cummins (CMI). "They're all headed up ... because of the rebuild," he said.
Cramer said today's rally has a lot to do with bullish action from mortgage insurer Freddie Mac (FRE). "They have gotten rid of the systemic risk," he said. He called Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (FNM) the "last of the black holes" for the financial crunch.
Cramer said Freddie is getting a lot of business, which he thinks may actually offset the company's losses. He said bears don't believe that's the case, but he pointed out that Freddie is a well-run company. Fannie is not as good, he said.
In the consumer discretionary space, Cramer said he had thought "the buyers would just call it quits" after the government's stimulus checks came in. He revised his forecast, saying maybe earnings from Kohl's (KSS) tomorrow will be the time to sell.
He expressed his surprise at the continued rise of some retailers. "Certainly we know that Costco (COST) is better than we thought. ... TJX (TJX) was a little disappointing, and look -- it goes up." He pointed out that Wal-Mart (WMT) stock has traded back to where it was before reporting earnings.
"A lot of people feel that the worst is over," Cramer said. He pointed out that the Fed called victory when inflation numbers came in better than expected.
Cramer also said that the year of wind power may arrive this year, not next year as he had previously predicted. He pointed out bullish action in Fluor (FLR) and First Solar (FSLR) as evidence of alternative energy stories.
He also said that Research In Motion (RIMM), Apple (AAPL) and MasterCard (MA) are offering leadership in the economy.
On the housing crisis, Cramer said that Toll Brothers (TOL) CEO Bob Toll was "negative negative negative" when the two spoke on last night's "Mad Money" TV show. He predicted that the housing problem in Florida would be much better in 18 months.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Review Jan. 28th

Cramer Cries Foul:
United Technologies (UTX), Microsoft (MSFT), Honeywell (HON), IBM (IBM), Fluor (FLR), Union Pacific (UNP), CSX (CSX)
Cramer declared he was sick and tired of taking abuse from people who say I've gotten it wrong, specifically Robert Samuelson who wrote in a recent Newsweek article that Cramer advocates rate cuts only to create a short-term lift for stocks. Cramer argued he has been advocating rate cuts for a year, and band-aid stimulus packages that give away taxpayer monies that we don't have are not the solution. Instead, he advocates a rate reduction of 1.75% and said the Fed was unsophisticated, arrogant and incredibly reckless. Cramer said in the current environment, he would consider buying UTX, MSFT, HON, IBM, FLR, UNP, CSX.
Excuses, Excuses: Motorola (MOT), Nokia (NOK)
Sometimes a loser company's excuses can bring down good companies. Cramer cited MOT, which reported abysmal numbers last week, admitted mobile sales were down 38% and blamed the economy. As a result, there was a huge selloff of MOT and NOK, even though NOK reported a 44% increase in sales, bigger market share and strength in foreign markets. Nokia should not be punished for Motorla's sins, particularly since MOT makes products no one wants to buy and lacks vision.
CEO Interview: Emanuel Chirico of Phillips-Van Heusen (PVH) also with stocks Liz Claiborne (LIZ), VF Corp (VFC), Jones Apparel (JNY)
Cramer says retail is the place to be if there will be another rate cut and mentions he likes LIZ, VFC and JNY in addition to PVH. Emanuel Chirico said although his company was one of the first in the sector to issue warnings about a sluggish consumer, PVH recently beat its estimates by two cents a share. While inventories are up slightly, Chirico highlighted PVH's successful buyback program and its renaming Continental Airlines Area to Izod Arena, which will be a strong marketing tool. While Cramer likes all the retail names he mentioned, he adds PVH is the cheapest in the group.

Jim Cramer's Stop Trading Oct 16th

Fluor (FLR), Shaw (SGR), Bunge (BG), Foster Wheeler (FWLT): Cramer says Fluor, which is GE's infrastructure business, is on fire as is the sector and that FLR is a great way to play the Middle East; "Look at that chart! It's the north face of Everest!... It's into thin air... We're at base camp three!," remarked Cramer, while reminding viewers FLR is down $6-7 from its high. In addition, investors who want nuclear energy should look at SGR, which has doubled but is still processing many orders, as well as Foster Wheeler, which Cramer has been recommending for 100 points. He noted Bunge is finally "exploding."
Wells Fargo (WFC), US Bancorp (USB): While Cramer thinks WFC is alright, he noted they had high home equity losses. Even though USB had 4% home equity losses, it was "far more ahead of the game," and Cramer thinks USB is a buy, especially since Buffett has a stake.

Jim Cramer's Stop Trading Aug. 2nd

Aecom (NYSE: ACM - News), Fluor (NYSE: FLR - News), KBR (NYSE: KBR - News), Foster Wheeler (NasdaqGS: FWLT - News): On the news of the disastrous collapse of the interstate highway bridge in Minnesota, Cramer would buy ACM, FLR, KBR and FWLT. While there hasn't been much trading in these stocks, they are good long-term investments.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap May 4

Good As Golden Star Resources (AMEX: GSS - News)
Cramer likes GSS as a way to play the CNBC Million Dollar Portfolio Challenge. The company operates in South America and Africa, and is therefore highly speculative, but has a large mine in Ghana, "an island of stability." The bears are worried about a sulfide-processing plant GSS is building in Ghana, but Cramer thinks investors should use this anxiety as an opportunity to buy. He predicts the announcement of a new plant, which will double production and lower costs, will be sooner than expected. With this news, analysts will raise their numbers and the stock will go higher. Cramer also believes GSS may be taken over, and he likes the sector, since gold is moving up. Cramer would not swap out of best-of-breed Yamana to buy GSS, but likes the price at $4.46, and urges investors to use limit orders when buying.
Laser King: Ionatron (NasdaqGM: IOTN), Palomar Medical Technologies (NasdaqGS: PMTI), Syneron Medical (NasdaqGS: ELOS), Cynosure (NasdaqGM: CYNO)
Cramer noted that last Friday's laser pick, IOTN has risen 17% since his recommendation, and he decided to choose a new "laser king." Cramer has liked PMTI in the past and declared ELOS the "czar of lasers" when he was discussing cosmetic laser procedures. Now CYNO wears the laser king crown, since it has doubled while ELOS hasn't moved. In addition, CYNO has 30% growth and is levered to the rest of the world. Cramer added he prefers "a performer that's pricey" to "an underperformer that's cheap." PMTI is Cramer's second-best pick, but is more costly than CYNO, and he likes ELOS, but doesn't see it going up in the near future.
Game Plan for the Coming Week: Fluor (NYSE: FLR - News), McDermott International (NYSE: MDR - News), Foster Wheeler (NasdaqGS: FWLT), CVS/Caremark (NYSE: CVS - News), Dynegy (NYSE: DYN - News), Nabors (NYSE: NBR - News), Halliburton (NYSE: HAL - News), Parker Drilling (NYSE: PKD - News), Forest Oil (NYSE: FST - News), L-1 Identity Solutions (NYSE: ID - News), Precision Castparts (NYSE: PCP - News), Six Flags (NYSE: SIX - News), Syntax-Brillan (NasdaqGM: BRLC)
Cramer suggesting looking at infrastructure, especially MDR, FLR, and FWLT which are "terrific" companies and which should benefit from high oil prices. He would establish half a position before their reports and half after, and would buy the stocks on any weakness. On Monday, he would also buy FST. Cramer praises CVS as having "valued itself even further into the health care heaven" with its cheap Caremark purchase, and would buy ahead of its Tuesday report, adding he also likes DYN. PKD, which also reports on Tuesday, may be bought by NBR or HAL which discussed expansion during their conference calls, Cramer commented. His Wednesday picks include ID, PCP and SIX. Since the LCD TV sector is improving, Cramer likes BRLC which reports on Thursday after the markets close.
CEO Interview: Nolan Archibald, Black and Decker (NYSE: BDK - News)
Nolan Archibald says BDK's report was strong because of the company's "great brands and innovative products" which thrive in down times. BDK is featuring new Dewalt brand products including concrete breakers, hammers and generators. Archibald added the company is going to continue buying back shares. Cramer commented BDK is "the real deal" and sees it rising from $92.36 to $100.

China Port Builder IPO to Raise $2.1 Billion

China's top port builder, China Communications Construction Co. (CCCC), plans to raise up to US$2.1 billion in an IPO after setting a price range of HK$3.40-HK$4.60 per share for a December listing in Hong Kong, a source familiar with the deal said on Monday. The state-owned company, which will kick off a formal marketing roadshow on Nov. 28, is offering 3.5 billion shares at a price range representing 13 to 18 times its 2006 prospective price to earnings multiple. Texas-based Fluor Corp. (FLR.N: Quote, Profile, Research), a U.S. engineering and construction company, trades at 32 times 2006 earnings. Hong Kong's stock market, which has seen a flood of new listings this year, is also awaiting IPOs from hotel operator Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels, China Communications Services and China Coal Energy that could raise more than a combined US$2 billion by the end of the year. China Communications Construction's businesses range from infrastructure design and construction to dredging and port machinery manufacturing. The IPO proceeds will help it expand its business to new engines, including railway construction and heavy marine machinery manufacturing. The retail portion of its Hong Kong offering will run from Dec. 1 to Dec. 6, with final pricing on Dec. 9. A trading debut is set for Dec. 15. The company plans to earmark $240 million worth in shares to three investors, including China Life Group, New World Development (0017.HK: Quote, Profile, Research) chairman Cheng Yu-tung and Singapore's GIC Direct Investments, sources told Reuters on Friday. The offering is being sponsored by UBS (UBSN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research), Merrill Lynch (MER.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and BOC International.
CCCC had originally planned to list simultaneously in Hong Kong and Shanghai, which would make it only the second company to do so after Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (1398.HK: Quote, Profile, Research) (601398.SS: Quote, Profile, Research), but technical issues thwarted the plan. There is no clear timeline for when it will raise money in Shanghai.
