Jim Cramer's Stop Trading May 8th

Gold is back, Jim Cramer said on CNBC's "Stop Trading!" segment Thursday. Cramer dismissed Wall Street observers' claims that the dollar is correlated with oil. "Oil is correlated to supply and demand," he said. "The stocks are signaling that gold is going higher." He recommended Agnico-Eagle Mines (AEM) and Yamana Gold (AUY). "They're not done going up," he said.
"Retail was a great trade," Cramer said, but "we're finished. I want to sell retail." He instructed viewers to get out of Nordstrom (JWN), Phillips-Van Heusen (PVH ) and VF Corp. (VFC).
On the other hand, "Wal-Mart (WMT) is the keeper in this group," Cramer said. However, he observed that "Kohl's (KSS) said good things, the stock is going down. This group has had it." He was also bearish on Target (TGT).
Cramer then moved on to discuss oil drilling in India. He said companies like Transocean (RIG) are "really talking about India."

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Lightning Round Nov. 30th

Abbott Labs (ABT): Cramer likes this stock because it has great drugs and diagnostics. He also recommended Baxter (BAX), Bard (BCR), and Becton Dickinson (BDX).
Infinera (INFN): Cramer doesn't want to be in this stock because he doesn't like the optical sector.
Southern Copper (PCU): Cramer is bullish on this stock, but he thinks Freeport McMoran (FCX) is better since it's cheap and he thinks it will be taken over soon.
Nordstroms (JWN): Cramer thinks this stock should go up to $36, so he would buy the stock here.
E*Trade (ETFC): Cramer thinks you will get hurt if you try to invest in this stock. He is bearish.
Anthracite Capital (AHR): This is a residential REIT, so Cramer is bearish. He recommended the caller buy Annaly Capital (NLY) instead.
Anadarko Petroleum (APC): Cramer thinks this stock is terrific, along with Apache (APA), Devon (DVN), and XTO (XTO).
Trane (TT): Cramer said he has been looking at this stock and was actually going to recommend it later tonight, but he has second thoughts about it because of its residential construction exposure. He still thinks it is a well run company.
Northern Trust (NTRS): Cramer thinks this and State Street (STT) are the best run financial institutions in the country, so he wants to recommend both of them.

Yamada is still bullish on Cisco Systems (CSCO) and she would look to buy pullbacks on the name. She looked at the chart on Broadcom (BRCM) calling it a sell because it hasn't followed through after a false break-out. The chart on Coca-Cola (KO) is initiating an uptrend according to Yamada, so she would be a buyer of KO. Bed Bath and Beyond (BBBY) should be sold.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Oct. 29th

On Monday's show, Cramer said that he thinks retailers will have a turnaround. He believes that the good retailers can't fall any further, and that there will be 2 more rate cuts before the end of the year, which he thinks is bullish for retailers if you look back at their past performance after rate cuts. Cramer also said that the change in the weather will allow retailers to move some of their new winter products. His first two retail picks are Ralph Lauren (RL) and Nordstrom (JWN). Both of these stocks are down big from their recent highs, and he thinks that luxury goods retailers will be the first to turn around since people with more money to spend won't be as concerned with economical concerns, making both of these stocks bargains.Cramer then went to the phonelines. The first caller asked about J.C. Penney (JCP), and Cramer said that he likes the stock, but can't pull the trigger because he thinks it will be behind the luxury retailers when the sector turns around. The next caller asked about timing the purchase of retail stocks around Christmas. Cramer said that it is time to buy these two stocks now. The last caller asked about Build a Bear Workshop (BBW), and Cramer said he wants you to stay far away from that stock.Cramer then gave out his top retail pick, which was Target (TGT). He also noticed that stores are very full, thinks that they make shopping fun, that they are opening stores rapidly, and that the stock is cheap. But his primary reason is that the company is thinking about selling its credit card business, which could fetch up to $7 billion. Target could use this money for a large stock buyback.Cramer also mentioned that he had a good call to sell Smith and Wesson (SWHC) last week since they guided earnings lower today. After the lightning round, Cramer talked with Chris Matthews about the effect politics and the upcoming elections will have on the stock markets.

Mad Mail: The first email asked if Cramer would have other presidential candidates on the show, and Cramer said that he welcomes them all on the show. The next email asked about Sketchers (SKX), and Cramer said that he thinks they suffered from bad timing, and he thinks they have that straightened out now. Another email asked about Six Flags (SIX), and Cramer said they got hurt by bad weather and bad acquisitions. Lastly, an emailer asked about Hologic (HOLX), and Cramer said not to worry about the large short interest because it is being driven up by merger arbitrage players.

Sudden Death. Cramer is bullish on Manitowoc (MTW), bullish on Baidu.com (BIDU), bearish on Dow Chemical (DOW), and bullish on Adobe (ADBE).

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap

Out in the Open: Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT - News), Lamar (NASDAQ: LAMR - News), Clear Channel (NYSE: CCO - News) and CBS (NYSE: CBS - News)
Although Cramer has often said that old media is dying, the oldest advertisements, billboards, are " coming back with a vengeance," because they are on the street where they cannot be avoided and are going digital. Daktronics is up 165%, but Cramer recommends buying it because the company "owns the market" in digital billboards, which he believes is the fastest growing form of advertising after the internet. The company also produces scoreboards for sports events. Cramer thinks Lamar is a better acquisition than CBS and Clear Channel, " because it is a pure play and is "going digital faster than any other company."
Safeway's Secret (NYSE: SWY - News)
Since many of the obvious holiday stocks are "played out" Cramer suggested a good oblique strategy for benefitting from the season by investing in Safeway which, in addition to running great stores, owns the $4-5 billion greeting card business, Blackhawk, whose products are sold by Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS - News), Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL - News) iTunes, MasterCard (NYSE: MA - News), Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN - News), Home Depot (NYSE: HD - News) and Sears (NASDAQ: SHLD - News). Not many people are aware that Safeway owns Blackhawk, but when this is no longer a secret, the stock should rise, comments Cramer. In addition, Safeway's supermarkets are "financially sound enough to add a half-billion dollars to its buyback program last Friday and offer a dividend," and he would get into the stock before its analyst meeting on Tuesday.
CEO Interview: David Pyott of Allergan (NYSE: AGN - News)
David Pyott discussed the company's developing program for neuropathic pain and its rapid growth in the opthalmology sector. "The great position we have is that Allergan is the largest company in the world in the medical aesthetics space," he said, noting the popularity of breast implants, Botox and Juviderm among plastic surgery customers. Pyott also mentioned an upcoming trial between Juviderm and Medicis' Restylane to see which treatment customers like better and lasts longer. After the interview, Cramer commented that Thomas Weisel Partners' downgrade of Allergan was unfair, and that he would back up the truck as soon as the stock's price dips.

"The nice thing is that the market is handling the profit taking so far in a very positive fashion. The week before Thanksgiving tends to be strong seasonally." U.S. financial markets will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving, and the stock market will close early on Friday. Shares of medical device maker Medtronic Inc. (MDT.N: Quote, Profile, Research) shot up 8.8 percent to $53.24 and were the top positive influence on the benchmark S&P 500 index, as the company posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit.
