Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Sept. 11th

On the Offense: Research in Motion (RIMM), Apple (AAPL), Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), VMWare (VMW)
Continuing his sports analogies from yesterday's show, Cramer told viewers it is essential to look for good offensive players which will be wide receivers providing fast growth. He compares Research in Motion to Randy Moss of the New England Patriots, because both players always meet or surpass expectations and have momentum. Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys gets the touchdowns and Apple gets the media coverage. Cramer likes Apple, but thinks it may be setting prices too high. No stock can move 100 points faster than ISRG, and the company has as much speed as Santana Moss of the Washington Redskins. Two rookie wide receivers which dominate the field are VMware and Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions. He considers the IPO to be rookie of the year.
Tight End: AT&T (T),Consolidated Edison (ED), Enterprise Products Partners (EPD)
Cramer searched the market for the ideal tight end, a stock which has protection against downside risk and has potential to rise. He compared AT &T, which its 3.6% yield and 1.7 million subscribers to solid Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers. ED and Tony Gonzales, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs are both solid and consistent, and ED has a dividend of 5.1%. While EPD is a bit of a sleeper, it has a 4.65% yield, and is like Jason Witten, who has great potential.
Inverness Medical Innovations (IMA), Medco Health Solutions (MHS), Herbalife (HLF)
Inverness a one-stop shop for diagnostics may be a takeover target for Johnson & Johnson or Procter & Gamble, according to Cramer, who likes it as a long-term play and gives it a triple buy. A potential catalyst is its impending acquisition of Chlolestech, and news is expected to come out on Wednesday. Cramer also likes MHS, which has risen 30% since his recommendation as well as Herbalife (HLF)
Mad Mail: Sirenza Microdevices (SMDI) and RF Microdevices (RFMD), Verifone Holdings (PAY)
When asked if SMDI will be buying RFMD, Cramer answered in the affirmative and said he likes SMDI, but doesn't feel confident about stocks levered to cell-phone components. Concerning PAY, Cramer said he blew it when he recommended the stock.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Lightning Round Mar. 28

JPMorgan Chase (NYSE: JPM - News): 'I think that the company itself is really good. At $47, nice 9% pullback. Probably worth buying, but let me tell you something... It doesn't yield 3%... 'Bank of America (NYSE: BAC - News): 'I've got BAC that yields 4% ... This stock should pull back .... If it goes below $20, then you do a little buying. 'Jones Soda (NasdaqCM: JSDA): 'But JSDA, other than HANS, is the fastest grower out there. I'm doing a lot of work on JSDA... HSC, only about $1 off its high, but notice how it's held up. It is not that linked to housing. In other words, continue to buy LMS... 'VeriFone (NYSE: PAY - News): ' I think that PAY - which is linked to retail - is a fabulous stock. I am surprised it's come down this much from its high. Jim Cramer's Mad Money Review Mar. 7

Jim Cramer, Mad Money, MHS, GT, CMX, ESRX, FSLR, PAY
Aiming High: Medco Health Solutions (NYSE: MHS - News), Goodyear Tire (NYSE: GT - News), Express Scripts (NasdaqGS: ESRX) and Caremark (NYSE: CMX - News)
Every day, top performing stocks appear on the New High List; these "are proven winners with real money behind them," Cramer said. He identified the strong sectors on the High List as pharmacy benefit mangers and tire companies: "these sectors will perform even after a truly horrific onslaught." Within these categories, he zeroed in on the "best of breed" companies: MHS and GT. Cramer commented MHS has had solid performance and a "monster amount of cash flow." GT has created savings by cutting benefits and pensions and has low raw costs. "I would buy now and hope for a pullback to buy more," he said. On a side note, Cramer thinks ESRX will go up regardless of whether or not it buys CMX, because an acquisition would mean a virtual oligopoly and if it doesn't spend the cash on CMX, ESRX will do a "gigundo" buyback.

Rubble Stock: First Solar (NasdaqGM: FSLR)
Another stock Cramer believes should be rescued from the rubble of last week's debacle is FSLR, not only because it produces more energy for less money than its rivals, but it also reported a "blowout, better-than-expected" quarter, is protected against downside with an upside not reflected in its cost, especially since it was hammered during the selloff. In addition, he commented the stock has high margins at 40%, low raw costs and low estimates.

CEO Interview: Douglas Bergeron, VeriFone (NYSE: PAY - News)
Douglas Bergeron declared "We hit records on every line item in the financial statements," noting a growth of 61%, 60% of which came from international sales. "We, like Mastercard, are the true, blossoming, middle-class international play." He also discussed the recent deal which will allow Verifone to equip taxis in Philadelphia with wireless payment technology and full-screen navigation software. Since the company has also set its sights on New York City, Cramer would pull the trigger and buy some PAY.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Feb. 23

"Pipeline Play": Biosite (NasdaqGS: BSTE)Cramer wanted viewers to take a look at Biosite which will be in demand if the Democrats "storm the winter palace" in November, because the money will go out of Big Pharma into "small, diagnostic plays." He likes the fact that Biotech is new and not yet played out, and comments that this producer of diagnostic tests keeps reinvesting money into new products. Cramer added Biosite is "sitting on top of a new product cycle," and should see an upside as well as more analyst coverage. He also predicts a short squeeze which should bring the stock up, and notes the company implemented a 12% buyback of its stock, and Fidelity is increasing its stake in the company from 12% to 15%. Cramer likes Biosite as a "pipeline story" and thinks the shorts are going to be sorry. Here Comes the Sun Microsystems (NasdaqGS: SUNW)Cramer declares that SUNW, a stock he has "hated for a very long time," is now an "under -$10 turnaround" because its new management is making serious changes by cutting costs and continuing to improve its sales. However, he cautions against impulse buying, and urges investors to find a good entry point and not to buy before Monday afternoon. Cramer sees upgrade potential, notes that its server business is "en fuego" and its software business is strong. He reminds investors to use limit orders when buying. The Week Ahead: GlobalSantaFe (NYSE: GSF - News), Marvell Technology (NasdaqGS: MRVL), Analog Devices (NYSE: ADI - News), Blockbuster (NYSE: BBI - News), Dynegy (NYSE: DYN - News), Foster Wheeler (NasdaqGS: FWLT), McDermott (NYSE: MDR - News), Charter Communications (NasdaqGM: CHTR), Sprint (NYSE: S - News), Gap (NYSE: GPS - News), Viacom , and VeriFone (NYSE: PAY - News)On Monday, Cramer suggests buying GSF before it reports a "blowout quarter" and would pick up MRVL after its disappointing report. He sees hope for MRVL because ADI indicated the worst is over in the chip inventory cycle. Cramer says investors should sell BBI before Tuesday and buy some back after a selloff, and he would do the same with DYN. He predicts strong earnings for FWLT and MDR, would buy CHTR ahead of its report, and would only pick up Sprint if it has an "incredibly miserable" quarter. Cramer also suggests taking a look at GPS, Viacom and PAY.Mad Mail: Sirius Satellite Radio (NasdaqGS: SIRI) and XM Satellite Radio (NasdaqGS: XMSR)When faced with a potential merger, Cramer says it is better to buy stock in the stronger rather than the weaker company, because even if the deal is off, the better company will rise.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Review

InnerWorkings (NASDAQ: INWK - News)
Continuing his week-long discussion of "hot stocks," Cramer discussed InnerWorkings, which outsources printing services and has gone up 87% since its IPO in August. The company has had a record of positive profit and net income and has a "right to exist" in spite of its competition. Cramer says that this stock has room to rise, but suggests that investors keep its Feburary 11 lockup expiration date in mind and to buy half of a position now and half after Feb. 11 or to swap out of the stock during that period. Cramer suggested taking 48 hours to do research on the stock before buying.

Adobe (NASDAQ: ADBE - News)
Cramer comments that Adobe "through no fault of its own, got pummeled on Monday in a vicious Nasdaq selloff," and he would use the opportunity to pick up this "indispensible" stock. Adobe was down because investors were afraid that it would report lower guidance, but when it didn't, the stock spiked. Cramer also mentioned that negative speculation by short-sellers might have kept the stock down. He would buy Adobe which is "too cheap for the wrong reasons" ahead of its Creative Suite 3 release, and ride it on a "four month magic carpet ride."

Verifone (NYSE: PAY - News)
Although holiday stocks have been played out, Cramer likes ancillary seasonal play, Verifone, which makes credit and debit card swiping machines and is "by far the market leader" in this business. The company is going to have a big upgrade in the U.S. and will replace their machines. In addition, Verifone has tremendous growth potential in the developing world, and is a cheap stock which is " one part ancillary Christmas play and 10 parts great stock," according to Cramer.
CEO Interview: Dr. Paul Berger, Nighthawk Radiology (NASDAQ: NHWK - News)
When asked about the company's hospital growth, Dr. Berger commented "At the end of the third quarter this year, we have approximately 981 hospitals which send us images every night, or approximately 18% of the hospitals in the U.S. And that's been a growth of 121 hospitals over the first nine months of 2006." He also discussed the world-class radiologists on staff and the technology which enables physicians to be more efficient. Cramer said he likes Nighthawk, but would not be against ringing the register since he is tired of defending a winning stock which investors are not thrilled about.
