Sun Microsystems (JAVA): Cramer thinks it's finally turned the corner, but it's still too cheap.

First Horizon National (FHN): It's a cheap bank stock, and Cramer likes that.

GameStop (GME): Wants the stock lower. Cramer thinks you should take some profits now, and buy more if the stock drops below $55.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap July 30th

Doomsday Scenario: MDC Holdings (NYSE: MDC - News), DR Horton (NYSE: DHI - News), Pulte Homes (NYSE: PHM - News) and Toll Brothers (NYSE: TOL - News)
Cramer created a doomsday scenario which probably will not happen, since the bank crisis in 1990 was "ten times worse" than the problems of today. However, he would avoid any companies which deal with borrowing and lending money, particularly housing: DHI, PHM and TOL. The only housing stock that isn't hopeless now is MDC, but Cramer would still not buy. He would also avoid financials amid bearish fears that loans will not be repaid and yields will shrink; "You can't own anything that even walks by a mortgage," Cramer warned. He would not touch companies which need financing for deals. However, Cramer added; "the worst-case scenario will be derailed," and the doom and gloom will not really materialize
If Ben will Budge: Centex (NYSE: CTX - News), Lennar (NYSE: LEN - News), Bear Stearns (NYSE: BSC - News), Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS - News), Citigroup (NYSE: C - News)
Cramer discussed two scenarios which could reverse doomsday: overseas buyers and an interest rate cut. He is confident that if the Federal Reserve reduces rates by only one percent, housing will make a comeback (especially DHI, PHM, CTX, LEN), financials GS and C will recover and the Dow will jump to 15.
Playing it Safe: Celgene (NasdaqGS: CELG - News), Kellogg (NYSE: K - News), Schlumberger (NYSE: SLB - News), Medco Health Solutions (NYSE: MHS - News), Kimberly-Clark (NYSE: KMB - News), Amazon.com (NasdaqGS: AMZN - News), Google (NasdaqGS: GOOG - News), Apple (Other OTC: APPL.PK - News) and Research in Motion (NasdaqGS: RIMM - News)
Even if the Fed doesn't budge rates, investors can still create a safe portfolio consisting of CELG, K, SLB, MHS and KMB. He also directed viewers to his six wild bull markets: oil and oil services, agriculture, machinery, aerospace, infrastructure and minerals, and his four horse men of tech: AMZN, GOOG, APPL and RIMM.
Mad Mail: Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE: BAM - News), Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News), ValueClick Inc. (VLCK)
Cramer urged a mailer not to sell BAM, because it is an international company, unaffected by subprime woes, and is similar to Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway; "If you sold Warren Buffet because of a housing problem, forget it!" To a mailer concerned about RAD, Cramer said, "The integration is going very well. I'm holding your hand on RAD, and begging you not to sell it." Concerning VLCK's bad quarter, he commented, "I don't have my arms around it yet. To me, the stock looks like it's going to see $18, before you see a bottom."

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap July 13th

Avoid Private Equity: Blackstone (NYSE: BX - News)
Cramer would not buy private equity firms and suggests staying away from the Apollo and KKR IPOs. A former hedge fund manager, Cramer says he knows a thing or two about private equity. He believes the stocks are too expensive and investors would be catching these names at the end of the trend. In addition, if a Democrat wins the White House, he or she will propose taxing "the heck out" of private equity and squeezing the firms dry. Cramer added there are "too many people with too much money trying to get a piece of the action." Finally, companies are taken public at the end of a cycle, and "coming public means they're selling, not buying," Cramer said.
That 80s Show: Apache (NYSE: APA - News)
This week, Cramer has been discussing his theory that once the $80 threshold is broken, a stock becomes "annointed," rises to $100 and eventually reaches $120. He added once a stock hits $100 it will only go down again if it splits. Apache is a name Cramer believes will provide support for this theory because "people will keep buying it." Oil is one of the sectors driving the market, and Apache's advantage over other oil companies is its ability to thrive in challenging areas because of its low production costs and to improve on cheap products it purchases from its rivals. Cramer adds APA is trading at only 1o times earnings; "This stock is mispriced!" Most of APA's oil reserves are in the U.S., and the company has raised its product guidance. "I would buy APA before it gets away from you," Cramer said.
Overcoming Soros: Bon-Ton (NasdaqGS: BONT - News), CVS (NYSE: CVS - News), Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News), Qualcomm (NasdaqGS: QCOM - News), Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN - News), Gen-Probe (NasdaqGS: GPRO - News)
Cramer says he doesn't want people to invest like George Soros, "I want to be better than Soros!" For instance, Soros owns BONT which Cramer thinks is alright for the long term, but "short term it really stinks." Although Cramer likes Soros pick CVS after its Caremark acquisition, he prefers RAD. He would also swap Soros' QCOM for his choice, TXN. However, Cramer agrees with Soros about buying GPRO because the stock is "instant growth" with 40% market share for blood screening tests and 58% market share for chlamydia and gonorrhea tests. The company is also making deals with industry leaders such as General Electric, 3M and Millipore.
Mad Mail: Manitowoc (NYSE: MTW - News), Costco (NasdaqGS: COST - News), Casey's (NasdaqGS: CASY - News), Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News), Cemex (NYSE: CX - News)
Cramer agreed with a viewer that MTW fits his $80-$100-$120 theory. Since COST is a gas station as well as a retailer, he considers it a viable alternative to CASY. Cramer added he isn't concerned about RAD after the Medicaid ruling, but would let the "good times roll." Being locked in by the housing cycle is not a bad thing for those who hold CX, he said, because the company is "growing like a weed."

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap June 22

I'ts a Given: Given Imaging (NasdaqGM: GIVN - News)
Cramer's speculative pick on Friday was Israeli wireless medical imaging company, GIVN, which is perfecting a PillCam video capsules which are a more comfortable, convenient way of checking for gastronomical problems than traditional methods. He pointed out his track record of making viewers money with medical device companies such as Hansen Medical, Micrus Endovascular,Kyphon, and Intuitive Surgical, and he feels the technology behind the PillCam is much simpler than that of other devices. While investors are taking a "calculated risk" Cramer expects big earnings from Given and notes its guidance inspires confidence.
Big Brother is Watching You: Omniture (NasdaqGM: OMTR - News)
The next big thing in internet advertising is OMTR, according to Cramer, since the company monitors what people are watching online; "With Omniture, you can tell advertisers what is hot at the exact moment," Cramer said. The time for Yahoo, Google and Microsoft to buy this stock was yesterday, Cramer commented, and if OMTR's shares were valued the same as Microsoft valued aQuantive's before the acquisition, OMTR would be sitting at $35 instead of $2o.66. The company gave a secondary offering and sold 8 million shares at $18, which is an indication that " no amount of stupid sellers can knock this thing down ... There's too much demand." However, Cramer warned he is recommending this speculative stock on a takeover bid and not on its margins.
Game Plan for the Coming Week: Bear Stearns (NYSE: BSC - News), XTO Energy (NYSE: XTO - News), Medco Health (NYSE: MHS - News), Express Scripts (NasdaqGS: ESRX - News), Nike (NYSE: NKE - News), Kroger (NYSE: KR - News), Oracle (NasdaqGS: ORCL - News), McCormick (NYSE: MKC - News), Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News), Research In Motion (NasdaqGS: RIMM - News)
Cramer said the failure of two hedge funds does not spell bad news for BSC, which he would buy on Thursday. The cause was a hedge fund manager's "stupid mistake" and Cramer doesn't think BSC is dependent on the success or failure of the funds. He would pay attention to companies such as XTO, MHS and ESRX which are speaking at the Wachoviaand Jeffries conferences next week. He suggests setting up half a positon in NKE before its earnings report and the other half after a subsequent drop. Cramer would buy KR, since it doesn't get enough respect, as well as Oracle and thinks MKC is a good low-risk stock. He predicts RAD, which reports on Thursday, will continue to "motor up" and he would buy it on any weakness. For those who don't yet own RIMM, Cramer suggests picking it up after its earnings report.
Mad Mail: Posco (NYSE: PKX - News), Cummins (NYSE: CMI - News), Spartan (NasdaqGS: SPAR - News)
Although he didn't mention the PKX when he discussed 20 of Buffett's stock picks on Thursday's Mad Money program, Cramer thinks it is a good, inexpensive steel company. Cramer thinks CMI is still rising but would beware of SPAR, which is down a two points.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap June 4

Breaking Up is Good to Do: Citigroup (NYSE: C - News)
The best thing C could do, according to Cramer, other than ridding itself of "Clown Prince" [CEO Chuck Prince] is to split itself up; "I think the one-stop shop for everything financial doesn't work." Cramer predicts if C breaks up into five businesses, the stock will jump from from $54 to $63. However, since such a move is not definite, Cramer warns investors of the "calculated risk" involved in buying C.
CEO Interview, Mary Sammons of Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News)
Cramer observed the company is 50% up from last year, expects more upside on the close of its Eckerd deal, and says it is "striking distance" from Walgreen. When he asked Mary Sammons about the benefits of the acquisition, she replied, "We believe there are even greater margin and revenue opportunities not included in our forecast." On the subject of the company's debt, Sammons commented cash flow created by the purchase of new stores will help RAD balance its budget. Cramer is still bullish on RAD and predicts it will reach $8 or $9.
Sparkling Clean Ingredients: Colgate - Palmolive (NYSE: CL - News) and Procter and Gamble (NYSE: PG - News)
In Latin America, Chinese-produced toothpaste was found to have DEG, a chemical used in antifreeze which should not be consumed even in trace amounts, according to the FDA. This is good news for CL, which Cramer preferst to PG because CL has a larger international presence. In addition, Cramer comments CL is a "leaner, meaner company" which should grab substantial market share from "lumbering giant" PG.
Mad Mail: aQuantive (NasdaqGS: AQNT - News), Raser Technologies (NYSEArca: RZ), Corning (NYSE: GLW - News)
Cramer told a viewer he would sell AQNT since it has been taken over. Responding to another question, he said RZ is too speculative and he would buy GLW instead.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap April 20

OM Group (NYSE: OMG - News), Fuel Tech (NasdaqGM: FTEK), Foster Wheeler (NasdaqGS: FWLT), Shaw Group (NYSE: SGR - News)
Completing his week-long segment which featured "green" stocks, Cramer unveiled his two favorite environmental companies: OMG and FTEK. OMG has 25% of the world's supply of cobalt which is used for hybrid car batteries. Cramer predicts cobalt should remain stable or go higher, especially since there are no new sources until 2009. OMG also has exposure to copper, which Cramer thinks will become more valuable, and is fixing its balance sheet. While he recommended FWLT and SGR earlier in the week as clean power picks, Cramer says they are for conservative investors, but for those who are looking for some risk, he likes FTEK as the ultimate speculative Green Day play. The company has technology to make coal power cleaner by reducing nitrogen-oxide emissions and has been getting "contract after contract." Since 49% of electricity in the US is derived from coal, and ethanol is not yet efficient, FTEK is "pretty important." On a general note, Cramer said even though the market is up, he is still bullish; “I am not exaggerating when I say the best is yet to come. We are going to be up 17%" this year."
Picks for the Week Ahead: VF Corp. (NYSE: VFC - News), Parker-Hannifin (NYSE: PH - News), Eaton (NYSE: ETN - News), Honeywell (NYSE: HON - News), Akamai Technologies (NasdaqGS: AKAM), Apple (NasdaqGS: AAPL), Boeing (NYSE: BA - News), PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP - News), Allegheny Technologies (NYSE: ATI - News), Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM - News), Halliburton (NYSE: HAL - News), Level 3 Communications (NasdaqGS: LVLT), NYSE (NYSE: NYX - News), Cummins (NYSE: CMI - News), National Oilwell Varco (NYSE: NOV - News)
While Monday will be quiet, Cramer says there will be a lot going on the market for the remainder of the week. On Tuesday, VFC and PH will report, and he expects an upside for both companies since VFC is a "Benefit of the Doubt" play, and he predicts PH will ride the wave with ETN and Honeywell. Wednesday will be busy, and Cramer limited his picks to five; he would buy Akamai for its streaming video and Apple for its iPhone ahead of their earnings reports, BA because it is going to $100, and ATI which will report a "giant number" and Pepsi. On Thursday, he would take a look at XOM, which will report, as well as HAL and LVLT, both of which have "lagged” but may run. Cramer's growth stock of the year, NYX, also reports on Thursday. Cummins and NOV are on the agenda for Friday and are “not done going up"
Mad Mail: Lamson & Sessions (NYSE: LMS - News), Charter Communications (NasdaqGM: CHTR), Dynegy (NYSE: DYN - News), Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News)
Cramer likes LMS as a potential acquisition and predicts the risk/reward is 1 point down and 6 points up. Concerning the CNBC 's Million Dollar Portfolio Challenge, Cramer said his favorite stocks are CHTR, DYN and RAD as "great single-digit plays and LVLT as a "good game name."

Rackable Systems (NASDAQ: RACK - News), Intel (NASDAQ: INTC - News), Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ - News), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT - News), Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO - News), Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL - News)
Cramer says that investors should be selling tech because seasonality is working against the sector, and that RACK's problem has more to do with the time of year than its component shortage and competition. Concerning Intel, Cramer explains its new chip will not reach a 90% to 95% acceptance rate this year, and since gross margins will not rise until then, Intel "cannot be owned" right now. However, the problems with RACK and Intel do not alter Cramer's prediction that tech will outperform in 2007. Cramer would buy HPQ because it will benefit from Microsoft's Vista. Cramer would also pick up Cisco down at $26 or $25 because of the incredible ramp in cable; "If you have a product cycle, I think you can ride out the seasonable weakness," Cramer said. Apple transcends seasonality because it is a "secular growth story and and a product cycle story." He would take advantage of any decline to buy Apple.
JP Morgan (NYSE: JPM - News), Capital One Financial (NYSE: COF - News)
Cramer is bullish on JP Morgan because of its credit card growth and added that COF is one of the most hated stocks, noting that there is a tremendous January $75 put to buy COF. If the company reports a lackluster quarter, the puts will act as a trampoline. Cramer says that it is worth investing in airlines again, and would take profits and buy them again.
UPS (NYSE: UPS - News), Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG - News), Colgate (NYSE: CL - News), Kellogg (NYSE: K - News), General Mills (NYSE: GIS - News), Oil Service HOLDRs (AMEX: OIH - News), Caremark (NYSE: CMX - News), Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News), Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA - News), Time Warner (NYSE: TWX - News)
Cramer is bullish on UPS and likes rails, which are a buy on any decline because the trucking sector is suffering. He added that Goldman Sach's upgrade of PG was worth noting and, if it weren't for a strike, the stock could reach $67 or $69. He attributes the success of PG and CL to investor's desire to look for other soft goods that are not dependent on corn prices. However, since cereal is only 3% to 4% corn, Cramer thinks selling Kellogg and General Mills is premature. Concerning oil, Cramer thinks that OIH has been a reliable barometer for oil prices and is heading toward a bottom, but he hesitates to recommend it because it is an "easily manipulated index." Cramer would ring the register on Caremark, and of all the drugstores, he would own only RAD. Finally, Cramer predicted that Comcast is "headed dramatically higher" and said that, at $22, Time Warner is undervalued.

Jim Cramer's Stop Trading, Jan. 10th

Blockbuster (NYSE: BBI - News), Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News), Denny's (NASDAQ: DENN - News), Level 3 (NASDAQ: LVLT - News), Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO - News), Sysco (NYSE: SYY - News), Mercury General (NYSE: MCY - News): Cramer discussed single-digit stocks which he predicts will go higher as investors realize how good they are. He notes that BBI is giving Netflix some agressive competition, Rite Aid is buying Eckherd stores at a low price, Denny's is still underestimated in spite of improvements, and LVLT is making smart acquisitions which allow analysts to raise numbers. Concerning I.Q. Trends' lucky 13 for 2007, Cramer says he likes Cisco and similar-sounding food server Sysco, but would stay away from auto insurer Mercury General.

It's just right now dormant.'Allergan (NYSE: AGN - News): 'AGN has been going down off of a CIBC report that I think is gravely mistaken, saying that the breast implant business is not going to be good for AGN ... AGN's got Juvaderm ... AGN's got Botox ... I need you to buy AGN.'Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ - News): 'The only PC stock you can own for the whole year is HPQ. Because Mark Hurd is better than the average bear.'Lowe's (NYSE: LOW - News): 'I much prefer LOW. LOW's is better than Home Depot.'Monsanto (NYSE: MON - News): 'The analysts continue to hate it. I am telling you, sell SMDI and never look back.'Brocade (NYSE: BRC - News): 'I think BRCD's had a nice run and it's time to move on. They did that good merger with MacData... 'Citigroup (NYSE: C - News): ' ... it's still run by a lawyer, and we don't really care for banks that are run by lawyers ... C is not going to hurt you. I just don't think it's a great stock to own. Let's cut back a little.'Anadigics (NASDAQ: ANAD - News): 'No on radio frequency names; it's too competitive and I don't want to be there. Mad Money Review- Jan. 5th

No. 3# Savient Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: SVNT - News)
Cramer says that everyone has room for speculative stocks, but that they should not be purchased with retirement funds or occupy more than 20% of a portfolio. Cramer suggests buying about five different speculative plays rather than relying on one or two. His 3rd favorite speculative stock is Savient which takes the "risk factor up a dozen notches." Cramer says the company has been a "tear" but it has room to rise because it has great management, Oxandrin, which promotes weight gain after surgery and Puricase, a Phase III treatment for gout. Puricase will be the first medicine for gout developed in 40 years, and 3 to 5 million Americans have this condition which is often resistent to treatment. Cramer predicts SVNT could double if Phase III results will be positive.
Related: On December 5's Lightning Round, Cramer said Savient was too expensive.
No. 2. Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD - News)
Cramer says this "unloved" stock which only has 10 analysts covering it should be picked up on Monday, since it is a "sizzling" speculative play. He notes that its deal with Brooks-Eckerd will save RAD $150 million, RAD is the one drugstore which is immune from the "Wal-Martdisease," it is a great inner-city play, and it can't go much lower without "catching a takeover bid." Cramer invited CEO Mary Sammons, the "architect" of RAD's turnaround, onto the program, and she commented that the $150 million savings from the merger was a conservative estimate, which doesn't take into account increased revenue and productivity. She added that every new store acquired entails "strong double-digit gains for five years." In addition, Sammons commented that the company is "well covered" on integration risk.
Related: On Mad Money, Dec. 5, Cramer discussed Rite Aid's advantages over Wal-Mart.
And the Winner is ... Level 3 Communications (NASDAQ: LVLT - News)
Level 3 Communications is Cramer's top speculative pick for 2007 because he believes it will benefit from the bandwidth shortage. Although the stock is up 35% since Cramer's initial recommendation in September, he sees potential for a more dramatic jump because of its deal with YouTube and NBC. In addition, LVLT's deal with Broadwing was completed on Thursday, and the stock has a "big risk, big reward." Although the company also has $6.8 million debt and investors may lose money on the stock, Cramer comments "if you're gonna stay interested in stocks, you gotta take a few risks, and one of those risks is taking LVLT, even at its $6 level."
Related: Ant & Sons commented that LVLT jumped in November on Cramer's recommendation.
