Jim Cramer's Mad Money Lightning Round Dec. 4th

Bullish calls:
Walt Disney (DIS): 'Again, I don't play for DIS, but I'm certainly not going to blast it. I think it's a good company.' Brookfield Asset Management (BAM): 'They've got terrific, terrific management … BAM will come back!' Hewlett-Packard (HPQ): 'HPQ has the business model and the leverage!' SunPower (SPWR) First Solar (FSLR) Johnson Controls (JCI): 'There was a man who just downgraded it … He's taken a very short-term approach. JCI has an unbelievably good business in climate control and, when autos come back, that stock's going to roar.' J. Crew (JCG) Costco (COST)
Bearish calls:
Wolseley (WOS): 'I can't endorse that company. Those companies are all doing badly.' Lowe's (LOW): 'I don't even recommend Lowe's anymore on this show.' Fannie Mae (FNM): 'It's just too hard to value right now...They just cut the dividend. Guys are going to sell it. I'm not there...' Automatic Data Processing (ADP): 'No. It's just a flatlined name. You need a stronger economy for that play.' Dell (DELL): 'DELL can buyback as many shares as it wants. HPQ has the business model and the leverage!' LDK Solar (LDK): 'No, c'mon man! The finances are unclear!' Cabela's (CAB): 'That company is just simply one of the worst publicly-traded companies I've ever seen.' South Financial Group (TSFG): 'Good stock in a really bad neighborhood … I can't touch the darn thing. Sorry to be so negative.' Home Depot (HD): 'That group is too darn hard.' Solarfun Power (SOLF)

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Review Dec. 4th

General Dynamics (GD), Alliant Techsystems (ATK), L-3 communications (LLL), Raytheon (RTN), Lockheed Martin (LMT) Northrop Grumman (NOC)
Faced with the prospect of an economic slowdown, investors should look to defense stocks which "are the darlings of Wall Street…regardless of how the economy is doing." Political considerations won't affect the stocks, since Republicans like to spend on defense and Democrats want to look strong. Cramer concentrated on RTN since his prior recommendations, GD, ATK, LLL, LMT and NOC have all gone up. Cramer thinks RTN can easily beat its lukewarm guidance and notes the company's "fabulous" buyback and international growth.
ConcoPhillips (COP)
The oils have crept down on news of new taxes for oil companies and are low at least compared to rising crude costs. Cramer would use any dip as a buying opportunity for a long-term investment because "there's a simple case for oil … We're running out of it." He prefers COP because it is inexpensive, sells natural gas (which Cramer believes is consistently undervalued) and is not exposed to corrupt Third World regimes.
Related: Kurt Wulff comments on COP's low price and strong cash flow.
CEO Interview: T.J. Rodgers Cypress Semiconductor (CY), Sunpower (SPWR)
Cramer said Cypress is a good stock for those nervous about semiconductors, and Rodgers discussed the company's "extraordinarily flexible" chip that can be used in an e-bike, a Nordic track and an iPod. CY recently reported a "blockbuster" quarter and is seeing an upswing in demand for its products. In addition, CY owns half of Sunpower and plans to find a way to allow shareholders to benefit from this holding after tax restrictions are removed. Cramer said CY is the "cheap way" to own Sunpower.
Related: Eric Savitz asks if Cypress'core value worth is less than nothing.
MBIA (MBI), MGIC Investment (MTG)
Cramer would be wary of making too much money at once, an indication that an investor is not diversified enough. He suggests anyone who profited from the rise in MTG and MBI last week should sell the stocks, since they are not going higher.

CNBC's The Call Recap Nov. 27th

Melissa Francis hosted. First topic was Citi Group selling nearly 5% of itself to Abu Dhabi for $7.5 B. The search for a new CEO has proceeded, and sights some impressive candidates to manage a decision for the new leader of the company. Dylan Ratigan of CNBC says that the $7.5 B that has come into the banking system will typically manifest itself and produce positive results for the company, as well as the financial sector markets. Next, the real estate market was discussed. Home prices fall almost 5% in the 3Qm, says David Blitzer of Standard and Poors. He adds that if you are looking to invest in an expensive family home, a smart decision would be to wait until next quarter or even longer, to give the market time to adjust. Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform says that talks of tax cuts have hit the presidential trail to stimulate the economy. Robert Mcintyre of Citizens for Tax Justice says that the U.S should not cut taxes because the country is broke. The Bush tax cuts are expected to expire at the end of 2010. Dawn Bennet of Bennet Group says that tax cuts are a great way to produce liquidity. $745 B is the increase over the past 4 years in tax receipts thanks to the Bush's tax cuts. Next Oil prices have fallen sharply. Down almost 3% since yesterday, it is sighted that there has been a major increase in sweet crude oil production. Next was the food fight. Michael Jacobson of NYC Board of Health says that calorie count at all restaurants is the aim for New York. To protect the health of consumers or at least have the information present for them to see is the step that they are trying to take to affect the obesity problem in our country. Matt Patsky of Winslow Management says that United Natural (UNFI) is his pick of the day. Organic and natural foods will grow faster than other food products. Sunpower (SPWR) a solar power provider is also a pick. Next, Facebook is opening doors for small businesses. Used as a marketing tool, Facebook has added one page devoted to small business as a result.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Nov. 6th

On Tuesday’s show, Cramer focused on green stocks that are good investments. Cramer reviewed his green picks from back in April to see how they had done since then.
Shaw Group (SGR): It is up 143% from about $30 to $74 since April.
Foster-Wheeler (FWLT): It is up 99% since April and had great earnings last quarter.
BorgWarner (BWA): It is up 38% since April, and Cramer thinks it will go higher because it has an increasing backlog.
OM Group (OMG): This is the only stock that is down since April, falling 5%. Cramer thinks the stock has started to bounce back from its lows already.
First Solar (FSLR): The stock has climbed 171% and Cramer is still bullish, but wants you to wait until after it reports earnings on Wednesday before buying more.
Fuel Tech (FTEK): This stock is up 35%, but guided down after reporting earnings Tuesday morning.
MEMC (WFR): This stock is up 20% since April and Cramer thinks the company will grow 52% over the next two years.
Tatra Tech (TTI): It is up 14% since April, and Cramer thinks it will keep going up slowly but steadily.
Cramer thinks every one of these stocks will go higher, and thinks that going green is good for business.
Cramer then went to the phone lines. The first caller asked about Zoltek (ZOLT), and Cramer said that although he recommended this stock a while ago he pulled out because he thought he was getting greedy. He now thinks this stock will keep going up. The second caller asked about BP (BP), and Cramer doesn’t think you can own this company because of its green initiatives. The next caller asked about SunPower (SPWR) and Cypress (CY), and Cramer said that Cypress is safer, but he likes both stocks.
The CEO of Wells Fargo (WFC) was on the show to talk about their alternative energy investments and positions, as well as the prospects. Cramer said this is the only banking stock he wants you to buy.
“Am I Diversified?”
The first email asked about UBS (UBS), and Cramer said that he has messed up with every financial pick he had made recently, and thinks you should wait until the stock hits $45 before you buy. The next email asked about Oceaneering International (OII), and Cramer said he didn't like the most recent earnings call. The next email asked if the recent investment in Tesoro (TSO) by Kirk Keorkian's was a bet that oil will drop, and Cramer said that could be right, but that TSO could drop if oil prices decline. The final email asked about lululemon (LULU), and Cramer said he wants nothing to do with the stock since it has gone up so much.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap Oct. 22nd

Cramer started off Monday's show by recommending a stock that he thinks is inexpensive relative to its earnings and growth. The stock is Google (GOOG), which reported huge earnings on Thursday, and Cramer thinks it is cheap because the drop in the market on Friday kept investors from pricing the growth into the stock.
Cramer then went to the phonelines. The first caller asked about Celgene (CELG), and Cramer said to back up the truck since it's down 6 points. The next caller asked about SINA (SINA), and Cramer said that Baidu.com (BIDU) and Focus Media (FMCN) were better China plays.
Apple (AAPL): Next Cramer said Apple is cheap after the earnings they reported today, but the cheap stock that he really likes is Intuitive Surgical (ISRG). Cramer thinks that this stock is even cheaper than Google, and it also did well on Friday due to strong earnings. He thinks they will continue to grow, and that earnings will stay strong as they sell replacement parts for their surgical instruments.
After the lightning round, Cramer went over another stock that he thinks will benefit from another trend he found in the book "Microtrends." Also skin cancer has been increasing rapidly, and Schering-Plough (SGP) owns Coppertone, making it the best play on this trend. SGP's CEO was on the show to talk about the most recent earnings report and the future prospects of the company.
Cramer then did a segment on Seaspan (SSW), a container shipper. He discussed the company with the CEO, and then said that he thinks the dry bulk shipping stocks are best, but this is a good container shipper.
Sudden Death. The first caller asked about Unit (UNT), which Cramer doesn't like because it's a domestic oil driller. The next caller asked about Cypress Semiconductor (CY), which Cramer likes because it has SunPower (SPWR) as a subsidiary. The last caller asked about MedcoHealth (MHS), which Cramer gives two thumbs up.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money Stock Recap July 20th

Greed is Bad: Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT - News), Google (NasdaqGS: GOOG - News), Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN - News), NVidia (NasdaqGS: NVDA - News), Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD - News), Corning (NYSE: GLW - News), Apple (NasdaqGS: AAPL - News), Bunge (NYSE: BG - News), Celgene (NasdaqGS: CELG - News), Cummins (NYSE: CMI - News),Level 3 Communications (NasdaqGS: LVLT - News), Chevron (NYSE: CVX - News) and ExxonMobil (NYSE: XOM - News), Countrywide Financial (NYSE: CFC - News), Amazon (NasdaqGS: AMZN - News), Boeing (NYSE: BA - News), Colgate (NYSE: CL - News), ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP - News),
Cramer's said his Game Plan is a bit different this week; he is listing stocks reporting next week, but wants viewers to buy only one (Corning) before its report. While he is bullish in general and still believes the Dow will hit 14,500 by the end of the year, he admits things have been a bit precarious with the disappointing Google and CAT quarters, and suggests taking some profits to avoid being dangerously greedy. Cramer calls Google a "show me" company which has to prove that it can monetize its new hires, or face a decline. While he had faith in CAT for its international exposure, the culprit was "housing, which is so horrible that it brings down anything it touches." However, he thinks the stock will regain its momentum and eventually reach $120. Cramer discussed next week's earnings reports:
Monday: Cramer would buy TXN, his favorite semiconductor, if there is a decline after the report. He suggests selling some NVDA, which is up 6 points, and would buy some back if it gets knocked down by AMD's analyst meeting.
Tuesday: CFC is "the biggest and best view" of how housing really is .... "its really bad," and remarked that the Fed will only notice when a bank, broker or major homebuilder goes under. "Hobbled horseman" Amazon will be viewed negatively no matter what it says, so Cramer would buy on a decline.
Wednesday: BA's consistency during the selloff was impressive, said Cramer who predicts the stock is going to 120. He added if it drops to below $100 before its report, he might buy. While CL is a "classic weak dollar" play, it is a bit high. While COP may face a downgrade, Cramer would buy it on a decline because he predicts it will reach $120. Cramer called GLW "the gold star" and said it is the only stock he would buy ahead of its quarter next week, because doesn't think the company would raise its dividend and buy back stock right before a major disappointment. Cramer would sell some Apple since "hogs get slaughtered."
Thursday: Since Bunge rose after last quarter's decline, Cramer predicts a repeat performance and would buy Bunge when it drops. Cramer likes Celgene long-term and recommends picking some up when it declines. Although he thinks Cummins is not finished with its run, he would take some profits, especially after CAT's upset. No one will like Level 3 Communciation's quarter, said Cramer, and he would buy this stock which is a great play on internet video.
Friday: "Wake up and smell the gasoline!" said Cramer, remarking it is greedy to stay in CVX and XOM without selling a little.
French Foreign Legion of Oil Companies: Total S.A. (NYSE: TOT - News)
Cramer continued his series on European stocks with Total, a massive integrated oil with strong production and refining assets in 27 countries. He thinks TOT is as good as Exxon, better than Chevron, and is cheaper than other major oil companies. He also thinks TOT is better and cheaper than European oils BP and Shell. TOT has a 13% stake in Sanofi Aventis, the French drug company, and Cramer hopes TOT will sell some and use the cash for "oil-related activity."
On Speculation: Tessera Technologies Inc. (NasdaqGS: TSRA - News)Cramers speculative pick for Friday is TSRA, which specializes in miniature technologies, which is a hot area since 80% of the Dram memory industry uses TSRA's technology. TSRA licenses its technology, so it has no inventory to move, and since Microsoft's Vista will be memory-intensive, there will be more demand for TSRA's technology. While the company is involved in a lot of lawsuits, TSRA is winning the cases and protecting its intellectual property. Finally, the 20x multiple is cheap considering its 31% growth rate.
CEO Interview: CEO T.J. Rodgers Cypress Semiconductor (NYSE: CY - News) and SunPower (NasdaqGM: SPWR - News)
Cramer congratulated Rodgers on a "magnificent quarter" and added that CY would be undervalued at $800 million if it spun off its power systems and services company, SunPower. Rodgers responded that while investors sometimes give him "heat" about holding on to SPWR, "the overall value of the company is reasonable." Cramer called Rodgers a visionary and a moneymaker.

In order to qualify as a "Trading Window" candidate, the 10-period ADX must be 30 or higher and the -DI must be greater than the +DI. Or we must have a 14-period -DI reading of above 30 (with no ADX reading required). "Single Windows" are the most common type of Windows. They are simply a single bar which has its low of the day above the 4-period moving average.
